Solution – Windows 8.1 Hyper-V Did Not Find Virtual Machines to Import 1

I wanted to import some exported Virtual Machines I used for a lab environment but after upgrading to Windows 8.1, importing was not possible anymore. Hyper-V gave the error message “Hyper-V Did Not Find Virtual Machines to Import from location”. I will not explain the why of this error, but only give a solution to convert these files, so Windows 8.1 Hyper-V is able to import the Virtual Machines again.
